When in doubt, wildebeest?

    What do you do when you see an animal that is too close to the lens or mostly clipped by the edge of the frame?

    You give it your best guess. Actually, I'd say don't just assume wildebeest, because if that's what everyone says, that's what it becomes, even if it was really a lion. And for many of the cameras, wildebeest are totally absent for 5-6 months of the year. A number of people get to vote on each picture, and if there is a scatter of opinions, it's more likely the scientists will check back and try and work out what it really is.
