Wildebeast

With the wildebeest's in the bottom of the favorites, my question would be: Why do they happen to pick the one spot in the entire open area to sit and hang out at that just happens to have the camera set up there? Part of me starts to wonder if they see it and get curious so they hang out around it.

Perhaps the camera is in a shaded area, or strategically placed to be in an appealing location for animals.

But also recall that it is a camera trap... it's only taking photos when it detects a heat signature. So maybe it's less that they lie there all the time, and more that you're only seeing the examples of when they do!
