Some moving, some not

  • Robcheerio by Robcheerio

    For groups of animals, where some are moving, some are eating and some are standing still is it better to;

    a. Log each group individually ie; 3 zebras moving, 2 zebras standing still, 1 zebra eating

    or

    b. Log them as a group of 6 zebras and select moving, eating and standing still.

    Example a is more accurate and less ambiguous, but takes a bit longer to do.

    Either one is fine, but I recommend doing (b) because it's faster. For our data, having behaviors at the picture level is fine -- we don't need to have behaviors at the individual animal level.
