A quick hack for making an image lighter

This only works on a computer, not a tablet or phone.
Set up your desktop to include a blank white window close to your browser window. When you encounter a photo too dark to see detail, simply grab it with cursor and drag it (red arrow) over the white window. This may enable you to see more detail without having to dive into image editing software. Or it may not...but worth a try!
See example below, where a previously invisible zebra appears at left. I use this all the time when helping those of you who post images "too dark to identify" 😃
I've found that if I stand up and look down on the computer screen, it brightens considerably. Maybe it's just my computer!
