dragonflies

  this is the first image of lots of dragon flies i've seen and was wondering is there some water nearby?

  I found this interesting too. i don't know where this camera is, but it probably isn't close to water. There are migratory dragonflies which travel over the plains for great distances. In the evenings they may gather around isolated trees, like the one supporting this camera, to roost.

  Thanks Davidgott thats an interesting bit of info, I suppose one reason for hanging about trees, maybe to avoid bats a little easier than in the open, they could hide in the leaves unless they settle in them at night.
