Clockwork hippo

Thought it was cool how clearly you can see this hippo's behavior patterns in the photo series below. Every morning between 4am and 7am, photo timestamp time, this hippo wanders by the camera:

That's a nice observation, thanks for putting this together. Hippos spend the day in a pool (often 20-100 in the same pool) and come out at night to graze, sometimes going several miles. They follow very well defined trails to and from their pasture, so this camera must be close to a hippo road. They would tend to emerge and return at similar times each night. You could have several different indivs here, all using the same road - it's not easy to ID hippo indivs, maybe you could use skin markings.

To the best that I could sort of tell, this is mostly the same individual. There is definitely a mom and calf that is also using the Hippo Highway, but she's not as jowly as the clockwork fellow. (Compare the mom (http://talk.snapshotserengeti.org/#/subjects/ASG000ntry) with Mr. Jowly (http://talk.snapshotserengeti.org/#/subjects/ASG000ntss) here.)
But yeah with the hippo nose shots, who knows.

Probably by manipulating the URLs, as described in this discussion post: http://talk.snapshotserengeti.org/#/boards/BSG0000006/discussions/DSG0000dxk
