I see zebras standing in a cluster, and same with wildebeests, some standing, some
lying down. Are these in any way familial groups? Or just random animals
sharing a nap or shade with?Posted

With wildebeest there seem to be no stable groups other than mother and calf. Zebra groups are highly stable - usually harem of one male and several females. The females may stay together for life. Harems cluster together into large herds, and unattached males may form bachelor groups.
