Waterbuck / buffalo / wildebeest??

  Hi, SAntczak and I have both struggled with identifying this one. Straight horns like a Waterbuck, but without the markings. Horns and facial hair wrong for Wildebeest. Too narrow a snout for a Buffalo, and wrong horns.

  Definitely not wildebeest.

  Kudu maybe, but I'm not sure they are supposed to be in these pics 😃

  I think it's a young #buffalo -- it's tricky b/c it's face is at a funny angle to the camera and its horns are quite straight -- but young buffalo's horns start that way (see a good photo here: http://500px.com/photo/3053792).

  I'm thinking that it's a waterbuck -- the snout is a bit too narrow for a buffalo... And waterbuck horns are ringed whereas buffalo horns are smooth.
