Weasel? not in the menu

  • izizou by izizou

That looks like a weasel with a fluffy tail. It is a very detailed picture, but none of the choices in the menu fits.
Anybody got any idea of what it is?
And of how to make the project people aware?

It's a white-tailed mongoose, which is a choice. If you use the "looks like" menu and choose "weasel" it will give you some options to help you choose the correct identification.

i categorized it as civet, because it looks like some other Viverridae.

For Comparison here an eupleres gouditii
    eupleres

i know this one is endemic to madagascar, but it looks very similar to the one on the snapshot.

The civets found in the Serengeti are African civets, which look like this:

The animal in the image is a mongoose.

Thank you for solving the mistery for me. It looked the closest apart from the tail.
