    I doubt you would find a tortoise out there. Bat-eared foxes have a humped back I believe or an armadillo perhaps.

    It's a pangolin! A very rare anteater -- and, yes, it's the African equivalent of an armadillo but bigger and way cool!

    Oof. It does look dome shaped and we do actually have tortoises in Serengeti (lions are not very good at eating them though!). It also kind of looks like it has a tail -- could be a real tail or just the blur of a slow shutter...

    YAY! I so wanted to say pangolin but was scared to get my hopes up. I've never actually seen one in real life.
