Are there African Hunting Dogs in the Serengeti?

One of my captures had a dog-like animal. I could only see the muzzle, but it looked less round than Hyena muzzles. Also, it was mottled, and hyena faces seem to be more solid colored. I think it may have been a domestic dog? I sure wish it had saved as a favorite, it's not even in my "past captures".

Impossible to tell what the animal was without the photo. Off hand I'd guess jackal, aardwolf, or hyena. Wild dogs haven't been seen inside the camera trapping survey area since the early 1990's.
