Can anyone identify that hairy something on the right?

Judging by the pom-pom tail, the animal behind is an Eland - so the one in front most likely is as well. Male Eland have a prominent flap of skin fringed with hairs hanging down from their necks, known as a "dewlap". So that's probably what the "leathery and hairy" thing is.
