Camera destructor caught in the act

  • areinders by areinders moderator

For anyone wondering why the cameras sometimes only show the sky or a tree from below in this case:

In the first image the camera seems to be OK, capturing an elephant. ASG000olbo

In the next shot a minute or so later the camera is pointed up into the sky/a tree: ASG000olbp

Here is the elephant checking out it's handiwork.

cool, maybe they are a bit bored and need a few giant beach balls to play with
instead of the camera traps lol

Here's a warthog going after one (though without the same severity as the elephant):

You need to find the URL of the image and then use the little image icon in the post menu (the one that looks like a picture in a frame) to paste it into your post. You can find the URL by pressing control while clicking on the image and then choosing "view image" (on a Mac or right-clicking on a PC). That will open the image in your window. You can then copy the URL from the address field in your browser window (http://....). Then paste that into the box that opens when you click onto the image icon in your post menu. I usually have two windows/tabs open, one with my post, one with the image, so I can go back and forth.
