#Wild Dog?

  Judging from the smallish ears, this is a Side-striped Jackal. Wild dogs look very different and your chance of seeing one is very very small.

  Jackal is what I called it. Is there a web site where I could see what some of the other Serengeti critters look like?

  I don't know of a site dedicated to serengeti critters but if you have particular species in mind, use google images.
