Injured elephant

  This elephant has a pretty serious chunk missing from its trunk! Poor pachyderm. Looks like it can still use it, though. Wow.

  There was another thread earlier somewhere about an elephant that had part of its trunk missing, it looked as if it maybe got caught in a snare.

  In this case, the trunk is looped round so that the tip is manipulating the branch the ele is chewing. A few minutes later, in ASG000qbdg, the trunk of apparently the same ele is seen to be complete.
