Using brightness / contrast settings to identify animals--

Hi everyone,
Unsure if anyone else does this, but I've found it quite useful for identifying obscured or non-illuminated animals:
Save the image from the website, and upload it into Photoshop or a similar image manipulation program. Using the brightness / contrast settings, you can change the amount of illumination in the image, which can make otherwise murky animals much clearer.
An example with a dark buffalo:

Hope this is helpful!
