Camera sound?

This camera seems to be getting mostly distant shots and this series would lead me to believe there is a shutter sound playing when it goes off. the Zebra is clearly looking at it in the first frame and all 4 are bolting by the 4th.

I don't think the cameras make a sound, trail cams usually don't. But they may have an indicator light that comes on and catches the attention of the animals. But it is also possible that there is some light reflection off the camera or the box that they see.

That is an awesome shot. I don't think they're responding to the camera though -- some of the cameras make a very, very faint noise when they trigger, but it's almost imperceptible. It might be that there's something past the camera they see...
