Identification?

  #Hartebeest. the pale creamish/fawn coat, with no clear demarcation line and white belly as seen in Gazelle and Impala. Also its a much larger/taller animal, compared with Tommy, Reedbuck, Dik Dik. Impala seem to prefer areas with trees. It has no darker area on the shoulder, so we can rule out Topi.

  Sometimes it is easier to rule out what it definitely can't be (eg: everything not an ungulate species (an ungulate, if anyone doesn't know, roughly means a 'hoofed animal') and then see what you are left with, then due to colouring and size, Zebra, Water/Reed/Bush bucks, Warthog, Rhino, Tommy, Dik Dik etc can get crossed off...... Sometimes it can be hard, when you haven't got a face (or patterned/unpatterned rump) to look at... Hope this helps a bit.
