Check out the horn on the female in the back, just an odd thing to see and might be of interest to people!

There are very few, if any, female Thomson's that have "normal" horns. They are nearly always deformed in some way. The males do not suffer from the same genetic kink.

I've seen female impalas with horns before - but they've been small and straight, nothing like the male's curved ones, or anything like the one seen here. Fascinating indeed, and easy to see how the unicorn myths might have arisen...

Many believe that the unicorn myth started with the oryx (Arabian,Scimitar,East African or Gemsbok), which have 2 thin, slightly curved horns. When viewed side on it appears as though the animal has only 1 horn.
