One Horned Gazelle

Does anyone know what might have happened to the right horn of this Thompon's Gazelle in the foreground? It seems strange that it only has one horn.

Female Thomson's horns are slender, fragile and often deformed. They break quite easily, and this species may be in the evolutionary process of females becoming hornless.
