Feral domestic cat?

    I think it must be an African wild cat. We don't usually get day shots of them -- this is the first one I've seen. Unfortunately, the definite way of distinguishing wild cats from house hats is by the color on the back of the ears, which we don't get to see here. Nevertheless, these camera traps are a long way away from anywhere there might be feral cats. So I think it's more likely it's a wild cat.

    Some of the wildcats I've seen on the plains are this tawny color. What luck to catch that!

    Thank you for your answers, I had just assumed that the African Wild cat was tabby in colour, as all the other shots I had spotted were night time shots. I didn't think it could be a feral so far away from houses, hence my confusion.
