Telling the age of a gazelle

Can the number of ridges on a horn be used to determine how old the animal is? Also, what type of animal is shown in the photo, please?

I think that might be a not fully adult male Thomson's Gazelle, but I'm not 100% sure of that. I don't know about the age thing - I'll check with the scientists and see if they know.

Unfortunately no, they can't be used to figure out how old an animal is.
