    Can anyone help ID this please - and are the distant herds Wildebeest or Buffalo?

    The animal in the foreground is a Hartebeest. There has been a family of them hanging out by that camera for quite some time, so you will get to see lots of them.

    As for the "herds" in the background: they are actually just a line of bushes, so you can ignore them 😃

    I have grown very fond of that/those hartebeest - I keep seeing 'I hartebeest resting' and was pleased to see young ones too.
