Animals interacting/aware of cameras

  • barbarashklov by barbarashklov

I think this is so interesting that some of these animals seem really aware of the cameras. Especially the gazelles seem so curious. Wildebeest huddle around them at night. Do they like the camera flash, or is there a sound they are hearing? I had a lion the other day staring right into it. And god love the giraffes, can't often see above their knees, but clearly they are just standing right in front of the camera. Then again, the zebras truly are oblivious.

    Any thoughts on this?

Many of the cameras are attached to trees, which provide food for giraffes, and midday shade for gnus, gazelles, lions etc; could be one reason.
