Tails???

  • parsfan by parsfan

This is the second tail, or tails I've seen dangling off a camera housing; see also this

Don't know what to make of them, they're mammals, I think; hairy rather than feathery. Could they be mongooses (or monkeys?) using the cameras as lookout posts, similar to meerkat behaviour?

the top possibly is a bird of some kind, not sure and the bottom picture, could be Baboon as they seem to have a slightly thicker tip to the tail, compaired to the rest.

Did you see if their were any other pictures taken that same day, before or after this sequence? They might have revealed more clues. You didn't added the photos code number details, as sometimes looking at the 3picture sequence might (or might not) have helped to identify the animals better.

Yes, I should look at the surrounding pictures more often!
ASG000p9g2 is a single picture, but
ASG000p9g1 shows the creature climbing onto the camera housing and
ASG000p9fz 20 minutes earlier, has a hairy blob in the foreground that can only be a baboon...
    Thanks again AC 😃

I agree with AC - probably bird & baboon. Mongooses don't climb so your possibilities are primates, birds or rodents.
