There should be a "I don't have a clue" button

  I've seen several captures where there is clearly an animal, but I can't possibly figure out what it is. There should be a way to designate this, so someone better can look at it.

  Each image is classified by multiple people, and the data is accumulated from all those classifications. See this blog post for a good explanation of why your best guess is still good data for the scientists.
