    Melanism can occur anywhere, though black Servals generally appear more frequently in moister areas. My money definitely on Serval because of the ears.

    Amazing, it does look serval like and hard to imagine an escapee black Siamese type moggie all the way out there. Though our domesticated animals do get everywhere. In Kruger National Park, South Africa they are trying to assess if any of the African wildcats there are pure any more due to the amount of domestic cats around.
