Complete mystery

I have no idea what I'm looking at here other than I think it's an animal. Any clues? Also, what is that small looptowards the left hand side of the image?

I'd say it is some kind of smallish cat, the tail pointing to the right, the head at the left edge. Maybe a serval?

Beats me too. I see head of a cat, with ears left n right as tho sniffing camera.

I think the lower part of the right "ear" is a tree trunk, that's why I identified that part of the animal as a tail (bent down and away from the camera).

The black and white stripes look like part of a zorilla???

Ah yes, I get it - well done. This is that tree stump where we often see a serval. So it could indeed be the tail of a serval who is backing up to spray-mark the tree stump.
