    Hi, I'm very new to this so I may not be asking in the right way or forum - but does anyone have any idea what this is? it's bugging me!

    Hi, welcome - hope you are having fun! To answer your question, this is the chest of a zebra. If you look closely you can see the black stripes across the chest and also on the legs. The animal is standing close to the camera, the head would be out of the frame on the upper right.

    Hi, thanks for that! I would never have been able to work that out even with the stripes - the skin / coat texture looks more like a reptile!

    Until this project came along, I never knew how wrinkly parts of Zebra can be, like the chest of this one shows!!....As you never get that close view in a wildlife program.

    I think we are quite privileged on here, we get front row seats and such close ups of wild animals, which we can look at and study closely, which you would be less likely to get, if you are out in the field, as they are moving around or futher away.
