    I'm really puzzled with this one. Is there just one animal or two here and what is the white bit?

    Awesome! It's a pair of #caracal One is standing off to the left and rubbing its forehead against the camera housing. The white bit is on its cheek, below the eye. Ear at top left. The other is facing away from the camera, the lump at the right is its shoulderblades.

    Hm! Two caracals?

    Did a spot of Wiki-research:

    Caracals... are normally solitary animals, but some will stay in pairs.

    I choose to believe it's a mated pair. 😃
