Say there is an obviously pregnant animal in the capture. Should she be marked as young present? I mean technically the is no young animal in the capture, but at the same time there sorta is. So which would scientists prefer?

The scientists would surely only wish the classification of "young" to mean animals that are visible in the captures. It is conjecture as to whether an animal is pregnant or not in some cases, and therefore it would be misleading to include them in the classifications.
