    I believe a civet would be a bit lower to the ground with smaller ears and also darker legs (think, more raccoon-like). This looks to be a serval based on the pattern of spots with stripes along the tail and nearer the neck (think, big cat).

    It is a serval. Civets have long snouts and tails.
