Getting fooled by the flash

  • mistyfriday by mistyfriday

Just about all of us by now I believe have been fooled into thinking that some grass or other vegatation is some sort of critter and we just don't know which one. It's amazing how that light reflected off of things in the dark can make them look totally different. Even the light flashing off of animals can make them look like some sort of a different animal. I was wondering if anyone has kept a collection of some of these. Maybe the illusion pic & then the daylight one with it to prove that it is is not what our brains made us think it is. Could be interesting

Well, there is the famous "cat" that is really a plant. Here is the image at night: ASG000nehh. Here another shot at dusk: ASG000negp and finally an image during the day: ASG000nego. And the "ostrich" that also is a plant during the day: ASG000py2c (at night) and ASG000py34 (during day).

Just came across another one: ASG000n0dm. It's a tree in front of the camera. Here is the reason it is there: ASG000n0cl - just a minute earlier: ASG000n0ck, no tree... It's kind of funny to see the elephants in action.
