Testicles?

  • NJ_Alison by NJ_Alison

I am guessing zebra testicles. Never having seen any this close, I am really not sure.

It's the tail feathers on a bird that's perched on the camera. My guess is a type of owl, but I haven't seen a definitive ID yet on this one. It shows up in a bunch of shots just like this.

Yes, I'd favour one of the smaller owls too. You never really see zebra testicles anyway, they are not as exposed as those of the antelope family.

Thanks - they do look like feathers now. Do these things get corrected?

By corrected do you mean a wrong ID? If so, it is OK. The same Pic is shown to maybe up to 10 of us. 1, or 2 showing a different ID is not a problem. If everyone showed something different then an expert would look at it. Somewhere either in the boards here it explains it. Or maybe I read it over over on the Blog. Explore around on the Blog and here on the discussions. you learn a lot!

Just came across a shot of the elusive zebra testicles, and figured I'd post them here for comparison. 😃
