    I also would like to know, what good Insect-books might be available? Here is a few I know :

    Pocket guide Insects of East Africa ,by Dino J. Martins (latest edition 2015)

    Pocket guide Butterflies of East Africa ,by Dino J. Martins and Steve Collins (new edition will come later 2016)

    Field guide to Insects of South Africa ,by Mike Picker, Charles Griffiths and Alan Weaving (thick book, at least some same species)
