Snapshot Serengeti Talk
Great #hippopotamus photo!
Perhaps the ear of a zebra?
Lovely clear shot of a #Topi
Ahhh! Thanks #dolphinate i'll be sure to remember that for the next one.
lol at #tillydad If I see a photo of a strange human wearing a hair shirt in the Serengeti, I'll mark it as the #lesser-spotted-tillydad 😄
Oh wow! Sooo cute 😃
I'd be interested to know exactly what these are, the only identifiable mark is the black tipped ears, but no descriptions mention them.
I swear I can see a flying turtle with cherub wings and a vulture head! 😄 Time to take a rest and get something to eat methinks! 😃
Thanks #dolphinate !! So what I saw definitely wasn't a termite mound, but what I thought was the lion mum is still there, so must be grass.
Thanks #dolphinate I was beginning to think I was over-doing the Serengeti spotting, confusing termite hills with animals 😄
#dolphinate that was my first thought, but the ears and tail are not those of a warthog. I like my inter-breeding theory best 😃 hehe
Spotting animals for hours on end is like staring at clouds for too long, trees look like giraffes, bushes like lions & grass like insects!
The four figures I can see are actually moving at #tillydad.
Are we looking at the same spot #tillydad I was focussing on the left centre of the picture, where the blurring grass blade/sun ray passes?
Awesome pic
Has warthog tusks, but not the mane or tassled tail. Ears & rear look like those a hippo & lump above tusks resembles that of a rhino.
#perplexed According to descriptions and photo, it is neither a hippo, rhino nor warthog? Serengeti inter-breeding??
#giraffe-pregnant ?
#giraffe behind far left tree
Not sure about this one, thought maybe a lion with 3 cubs in the foreground?
#leopard
#red-necked-spurfowl
#giraffe I didn't see them at first, eating from the tree in the distance.
#strange-bird I'd be interested to know what this bird is, it looks like a domestic chicken!
#wilderbeest-giving-birth ? Wilderbeest front right has something between its legs (too big for genetalia) & 2 tails,is it giving birth?
#lion
#zorilla
#ardvark
#zebra-baby
#wildcat ?
#hippo-selfie
#elephant with baby
#hippopotamus
A beautiful #lion
I'm guessing from the tail that this is a #hartebeest, the calf looks newborn!
Any ideas what this is ???
