Snapshot Serengeti Talk
Nix the giraffe classification; I thought it was a single image (#2) and made a guess, then at the discuss screen, saw that it was a human
Near the horizon, just in front of the trees, moving from left to right
One animal just beyond the foreground brush, and many, many animals on the hillside at the horizon
#selfie
Lioness with collar
Can't tell if that's a bunch of wildebeest, just beyond the foreground waving grass, resting or if it's just rocks
#selife
Wishful thinking on my part; it's a low-slung animal, much too close to be in focus
Behind the bush at left edge of frame
No idea what's really out there. Two high, one at medium height, one at low level.
Something at extreme right side of frame looks like it is raising up and also raising short wings. Ostrich?
Can't actually see any animals, but trying to judge from relative height of eye shine.
Can't see a giraffe, but there's eye shine from something very tall at the right side of the frame.
Oops. Hit "finish" before I was finished. There are 11-50 wildebeest here too, standing, moving, eating.
Looks like two tiny trucks, on the horizon, moving right to left
Large bird in foreground tree
Looks like a truck near the horizon
I'm calling the big animal beneath the tree in middle ground a baby elephant; looks too massive to be a wildebeest but maybe it's a buffalo
There's something else, at right edge of frame, just below horizon but not nearly that far back. Looks like it's waving short wings. ???
Widowbird?
No idea. Just guessing based on two bits of eye shine at different heights.
#selfie Warthog, on the run, with ox peckers attached!
Looks like a hawk
One in foreground; others (zebras or wildebeest?) are at the horizon, moving right to left.
Warthog on a mad dash!
#selfie Spotted hyena trying to get rid of a fly that's on its nose!
black and white butterfly
dragonfly
Must have been a hot day; animals in the shade of many trees.
Looks like a hawk of some sort.
Two birds at the top of the largest tree in the frame.
Animals are near the horizon, moving from right to left.
Baby impala, with tiny horns, enjoying the sunset.
A bunch of wildebeest, and something much taller too.
Looks like warthog love to me.
Wow, beautiful shot!
Dragonfly?
One clearly-identifiable antelope of some sort in the foreground; others in the shade of distant trees and moving in a line left to right.
Looks to me like 2 trucks near the horizon, moving right to left.
Four zebras barely visible, but also a large line of tiny, moving dots on the horizon.
Very rough-looking zebra with a gash on its rear leg, and with an ox pecker along for the ride.
Swinging giraffe tail?
1 heavily-pregnant wildebeest?
Baby heading in to nurse at bottom of frames.
Beautiful tusks!
Looks too big and bright to be eye shine, so I'm guessing a person with a light of some sort.
I have no idea what the blur in this image might be, but I can dream that it's a cheetah enjoying the view of the clouds.
One skinny giraffe leg. Ha, ha, ha... I thought it was a tree at first!
Whoa!
There is a line of animals that stretches from left edge of the frame to right edge, almost at the horizon.
8 clearly identifiable wildebeest; looks like more on the left horizon too.
Very cool!
Two birds on the back of the animal at extreme left side of frame; an entire flock of birds flying.
There is a line of animals, almost at the horizon, that are moving from left to right.
Nice butterfly shot.
Great image of eland horns and dorsal stripe.
Giraffe, blending beautifully with the foreground tree branches.
There may be another lion, or perhaps some prey, at the lower right of the frames. It looks like fur, but I can't tell more than that.
Elephants barely discernible as just slightly darker silhouettes against the dark clouds?
Animal with a cat-like build is just between the foreground wildebeest's hindquarters and the tree on the horizon.
Red eye shine and green eye shine. Is this diagnostic?
4 wildebeest clearly seen in foreground: more animals on the horizon, too distant to identify.
9 clearly identifiable as wildebeest; many more on the horizon too distant to distinguish.
Nearly unidentifiable "eye shine" in the gloom, but it looks like bodies have Thompsons-like banding.
More animals on the horizon; too distant to identify.
One clearly identifiable wildebeest in foreground; looks like a herd of them on the horizon.
Animal is too distant to tell for sure what it is, but the movements seem monkey-like.
Truck with "Michelin" sign on front roof approaching camera.
More animals - possibly wildebeest - on the horizon, too distant to identify.
2 unidentifiable birds at left of frame 3.
Unidentifiable bird at left of frame 1.
One fellow exiting a Serengeti Lion Project truck.
It looks like many animals too far in the distance to identify (beyond those that I did identify).
Unidentifiable bird or rodent in middle foreground of frame 2.
Looks like a striped hyena based on ear shape and scruffy, long fur, but a male lion is another possibility.
A hairy ear and swishy tail appear at extreme right of frame. Wildebeest is my best guess.
Impossible to guess what this was.
A nearly unidentifiable dark profile but it has cat-like whiskers.
Also an unidentifiable ear in the right foreground, and an unidentifiable something near the horizon above the Thompson's.
4 flying blurry dots just above foreground wildebeasts' height.
Large unidentifiable rump exiting Frame #1, and tiny unidentifiable grazers on the right horizon.
Looks like an overexposed photo (too much flash) or a cat being set on fire (just kidding).
There are animals of some sort on the horizon at upper right but too far away to identify. Frame 3 contains a flying, blurry bird.
