Snapshot Serengeti Talk
These are really donkeys and, I think, sheep. But "cattle" was the closest since there are no other identifications possible.
Tail seems too skinny, but spots and build suggest it's a cheetah.
I missed the leopard and didn't see it until I had clicked "no animals." Is there a way to back up before clicking "next capture" ?
Hyenas at a kill?
Can't really figure out what's going on here.
Looks like she's pregnant!
That's a beauty! Pity not to be able to identify it.
Rhese really look to me like Kudus, but that's not in your list,
Quite a fight! I think they look more like buffalo than wildebeeste.
I missed the bird!
Somehow doesn't have the shape for a butterfly, but the color sure does.
Dead animal (s) maybe?
I guess I misidentified this as a leopard
There's also an ear, but I can't identify what animal it belongs to.
Is it a rock or an animal?
I agee with some of the other comments. Looks to me like a jackal attacking a Thompson gazelle.
Seems to have broken horns
What happened to his horn!!
the last frame shows a bird in flight, wings spread - A guinea fowl, I presume
I'm guessing Guinea fowl on basis of shape & size, even though .they are white - reflected sunlight?
That tail is so high that I think it MIGHT be a giraffe
I very hesitantly identified these as mongoose on the basis of the curved back and small head, but it's really hard to be sure.
Hartebeest: because of color and relatively smooth coat. Young because some of the legs were so much small (skinnier) than others.
I classified this as Hartebeest in spite of the appearance of its horn. I presume it's an adolescent so its horns have not fully developed.
Or are they elephants? But I can see no hint of a trunk on the smaller one, so called them buffalo
could be some other antelope -
Yes, it must be a butterfly
resting isn't really the right description, but then neither is standing! Great picture!
Yes, there is something there, but I'm not willing to make a guess!
It does look like a tail - but whose??
hard to tell how many because the legs are crowded together.
Cheetah's paws??
#Look like vultures. Whey isn't that one of the categories?
How close can you come!!
Is that really a Serval? Are there two?
Lots of eyes. I guessed buffalo because because they seem to be "standing guard."
What a beauty!
A wild guess that this is a wildebeeste
Is that a Kopi Bustard in the middle of the photo?
Five warthogs
Could be. But WHAT is that coming in on the left? It doesn't look like another buffalo to me - wrong color.
Some animal's belly, but I'm not prepared to make a guess.
Not enough to make an identificaion
Butterflies in 2 & 3
I said "nothing" because there is no way to know what this is even though it must belong to an animal.
Shadowy - but I think it's a baboon
I was too quick to "Nothing"I believe there may actually be 2 jackals or maybe spotted hyenas
Look more like Hartebeest to me. And there must be two young - look at all those legs!
And what's that on the ground? Another lioness
Looks like she's wearing a collar!
A vulture of some sort
Looks like a butterfly
Looks a heron
Eyes
But who's???
My guess would be wildebeest
Lioness?? Really too close to ell, but I;'m guessing a lioness??
Leaves close by moving in the wind? First picture looked liked legs, but in going through the other pics, that didn't jibe.
Wildebeest?? Not really enough seen to be sure
Too close to be sure - my guess it's a Zebra
Maybe my imagination got away from me, but this does look to me like a lioness on the prowl!
I think there is a bird sitting on a bush in front of the big tree. It is not flying, so I put down "standing". Anyone have a better idea?
