Snapshot Serengeti Talk
nice #giraffe photos
nice herd of #hartebeests
nice #leopard profile
#kori bustard nice shot of this bird
the one in lower front left is a guinea fowl eating and I do believe the one on the right is a warthog, you can see the snout
looks like it might be, they have funny little noses on them, this series is so dark, hard to see
#hippo has the same neckline I do 😦
Harriett the Hartebeest
oh oh, I think I marked this as a #striped hyena
ha ha, this is an unusual #human siting!
ha ha, looks like one #vervet money got to the spot on the camera first!
at first I thot this was a zebra, but then saw it is a hot air balloon!
nice shot of an #impala Their coats seem to have a sheen on them
cute, I don't know why I like Hartebeests so much lol
yes, can't remember what they are off the top of my head, but have seen them before with some of the herds
#lion exercises "lift and hold"
looks like two gazelles to me, maybe the one on the left is a zebra, but I don't see any ostriches, sorry
that is a great shot, all I ever get is ankles and knees 😃
probably a lion grabbed at it, digs in the claws and then bites trying to get it down on the ground
I might guess a bushbuck
no there is one with a shorter trunk, got into some sort of problem with it's trunk
pretty little Grants moving along
has someone been fishing??
#warthog and babies yep
ahh, the Hartebeest family lol
I see a couple of weeds
an assorted group of critters one usually doesn't see in the same photo!
wow, I have not seen one of these the entire 5 seasons!
#leopard look at the rosette pattern on this leopard, beautiful
I would say yes, the large upright ears say it to me anyway
on no!! It's a jungle out there!
what is causing that brownish texture to this photo? Doesn't look like a coat of any animal, wildebeest on the left, weird
yep, that is Harry or Harriet!!
#jackal looks like a pup following along behind
Lock and Lock, good stuff!! 😃
yep, looks like 7 wildebeests standing, resting
the far away big groups like this I usually figure are wildebeests
#hippo nice shot of this one
for Impala, Grants and Thomson's gazelles, there is a little button that says 'rumps', and you can see the differences in their rumps to ID
or a bug
#eland sure have been spooked by something
harry the hartebeest!!
they are chopping away the tall grass from in front of the cameras so we won't get so many 'nothing here' shots
ha ha ha, yep, some tell tale signs!!
ha ha, yep, there are a couple cameras like that
#zebra I increased size of photo and it looks like 2 zebras
the black thing looks like some sort of metal brace that maybe holds the camera? The round thing where a black brace once was?
I would say 4 but I can't tell if that is one also way back behind the two far left legs. So maybe 5
yep, or maybe has an itch
#reedbuck this is a pretty one
#reptile cute little lizard
#serval nice shot
I guessed hyena, but honestly had no clue on this one, looks more like a furry seal to me lol
ha ha ha, looks like the elephants have been by re-arranging the trees!
#secretary bird nice photo of one
#buffalo SO glad we don't have to count flies!!
#wildebeest How old are they when they start getting horns? I didn't mark this as 'young present' due to the horns
yep, looks like a bird, other
I might be tempted with the basic wildcat, I have a hard time seeing the ones at nite
nice, I usually just see hooves and knees on the captures of the giraffes lol
#wildebeest flashmob--go to the nearest camera trap and stare into the lens!
#bird other has a wicked looking beak!
#rhino? my first out of all seasons?
#topi get their horns young don't they?
looks like you are right to me
I think this is a #kori, but it looks like grumpy cat!
they do have a pretty little face don't they
nice profile of #cheetah, with friend behind
maybe a warthog? I think they root around a lot
I don't see anything attacking, see a mom with baby following, but something got them spooked
Looks like a baby topi, what a cute face! Buffalos are social, they usually travel in big herds and can be mean towards predators
nice shot of a #spotted hyena
ahhh, and elephant family, tiny baby, youngster, adults
oh that is a good one of dik diks
Is that a Hartebeest moving along there too, and one on the far right? Good mixture
that is a nice one
Looks like a bird to me
I have done all seasons so far and never seen a rhino or a Carcacal
now that is funny! Probably coughing or sneezing, but perfect capture
see, this is what I get when I mean black screen--I probably get 6-10 of these a day
this is a beauty! #lion
#honeybadgers, don't see these too often
I don't know why, but I kinda like hartebeests!
nice shot! I have only seen a couple of them myself thru all the seasons
nice little #serval
yep, that is how I figure them too, Impalas have a dark tip to their ears, plus the horns spread out to the sides like these
I can kind of see a bit of a dark line on it's back right flank, so I would probably say Thompsons
or a dust devil, or, a 'fire' fire, as we have seen evidence that they happen and burn patches of the plains
that is a nice shot of Harry!
ha ha ha, yep, lions are so kind to baby gazelles and wildebeests!
I had that photo last nite, unusual to see one
lots of bird nests here, along with several bird working on them!
that is odd, as you don't see the dark line coming down to the jaw
warthogs always seem to be movin' movin'
could be a serval
wow, that is a crowd, usually I just see one person
This one camera is just getting excellent shots of the sky lol
looks similar to a dove to me also, I just marked it 'bird other'
wow, big herd of #elands
looks like an impala to me
Look at this Topi, it has one of those stickers in it's side
looks like a lion sleeping, I can't see the breathing as the photo is too small
photo bomb Serengeti style lol
I had a buffalo right in front of the camera like that, be glad we don't have to count flies lol
I would say probably wildebeest, the one near center looks to be that shape, and the rest of them seem to be lying down or eating
wow, add some flying crows and you would have a Van Gogh painting!
busy busy little Impalas
looks like a baby? Where is momma?
dik diks are really tiny antelopes, so that might be why you think it is a fawn
I would say reedbuck
I see 6 giraffes having fun, being frisky, alive another day!
wow, that is really nice!
now I would say this is an 'interacting' argument #zebra
wow, I think this is my first #waterbuck
nice photo of a #bushbuck
ha ha, #buffalo all dressed up for a nite out
holy smokes, either this wildebeeste feels good or is getting bit in the butt by some bee lol #wildebeest
#Dik Dik, tiny little one, they only get about 2' tall full grown!
#zebras with an #Eland
I spy with my little #lion eyes dinner!
massive amounts of flies on this sleeping #lion
this poor cat is so gaunt and skinny, must be old and or sick, sad
#cheetah spraying the camera, guess it is now marked as his lol
