Snapshot Serengeti Talk
#wildebeest
#impala have the black tips, its not mentioned in the description, but is shown on the photos.
Hahaha, nope, we all get the serengeti glazed look at some point 😃
http://talk.snapshotserengeti.org/#/subjects/ASG001fbkj the mound on the left isn't there on this shot...15 minutes later
It is a #warthog, it has tusks and two sets of 'warts' above them. Mane will be lying down the other side of its body.
The one on the left is a #wildebeest chances are the other eyes are too.
#buffalo
#impala, they have black tipped ears and are reddish brown in colour
yes, #hartebeest and #buffalo
#zebra, can see stripes and shape when zoomed in.
I've never seen elephants within a herd of #wildebeest, maybe someone else would confirm? Most likely to be wildebeest in the background.
#Thomson's is correct, Black stripe can be seen on flank and rump colouring would confirm
#wildebeest, can see what looks like the 'beard' of a second one in the background
#wildebeest, hippos are not as leggy and can see a ruff of fur on it's neck.
#buffalo elephants don't have hocks shaped like that
Zoomed in, looks like more #zebra
Another #zebra with it's neck lowered eating in front of the camera. Looks like a stubby striped mane
I'd have said #wildebeest, looks like it's neck
#Grants, little white 'half moon' crescent on rump
#thomson would be my guess. Black stripe on side and no "half moon" noticeable on rump and the white doesn't go above the tail..
Moderators have mentioned to classify as human then 'hashtag' as #cows in the discuss option.
#Eland
Strimmer, cutting the grass around the camera.
#owl?
#secretary-bird. looks really odd.
4 #giraffe think this is most I've seen all together
next in sequence http://talk.snapshotserengeti.org/#/subjects/ASG0013c5r
http://talk.snapshotserengeti.org/#/subjects/ASG0013c5v
Looks like a #vervet-monkey
#elephants with #young
Thanks rib66xyz,
How can you tell how many you've classified?
There's a #martial-eagle likes to hang out there. ASG00132j8
Asleep. David said on another pic ' When a group is resting, the young ones up to ~5yrs often lie on their sides thus.'
#secretary bird
#zebra
It's a date/time marker of when the camera was checked and the sd card/batteries changed.
#bird
#bird, don't know which one.
#Thomson's interacting
Lower left corner. I'd have said Tommy, the animal looks really short for buffalo or wildebeest, it looks like the black tail of a tommy.
#secretary bird. Nesting materials?
#hyena, it matches the sequence here
Thank you!
First Ive seen,what is it?
ASG0015t6x It's the only one I found in the sequence so far
Cracking sequence, I am clueless with birds though. #martial eagle? #bustard?
Spotted hyena possibly? Looks like spots on its back
#waterbuck
Very nice!
Nice one showing the #Grant's half moon on the rump and the black stripe on the youngsters that can be confused with Thomson's
I was so busy admiring this #zebra, I didn't even notice the background gazelles. 😃
Thanks sandwood, I tagged as hare just in case, but I really couldn't make it out properly.
Any idea what this is? I can't see it properly.
#leopard, gorgeous
#elephant babies Awwww!
#bird of prey?
#lion #tracking collar
Ah, duh me, of course! Feel daft now since I was looking for something else that happened. 😃)
#zebra #stampede 2 on their backs, cant see why. Is there any way of finding if there are other pics before or after a sequence?
#buffalo and passengers
#vulture ?
#wildebeest
