Thanks Tillydad.
The 2 on the left, eland or wildebeest or?

#serval
Thanks!
Ay Caramba! Which animal is this???
zebra with black stripes washed out?
is this a male lion? thanks.
with wind blowing grasses and no movement of "fur" I selected "no animal" but...?
#elephant
#secretary-bird
Thanks much for the information, very helpful. I didn't know about the spots fading with age. And of course the ears are different! You rock
Thanks, I did, but when I looked in my guide book, it looked just like the photos, so I asked.
#wildebeests-running
#Kori-bustard
Might this be a wild dog? muzzle looks dog-ish and doesn't seem so scruffy. blotchy black and tan vs spotted?
#hartebeest
aaah, yes.
thanks.
#lion-male
#warthog
am I seeing things or are there 2 small animals at base of brush, moving to the right?
should we be classifying these photos as "human" or "no animals present"? thanks
what are these three animals? fox? jackal? antelopes in back?
#lion
Hyena? Looks like a sloping back.
Yes.
Also, now I see skinny legs!!
Thank you Tillydad.
Great photo of insects at night.
Actually a beautiful photo of hyena.
Thank you.
Buffalo or elephants under tree? One on the right looks much larger than others, or it could be due to distance...
Do we select "fire" for evidence of a fire such as this photo portrays, or only active fires? Thanks
If I am seeing an antelope in the distance, what antelope would be solitary? Large field of view, only see one possible animal. Thx!
Something on the mound??
#buffalo
oh I see, plants.
#jackal side striped?
hyena? who has fur like this?
lower right hand corner - fur or something on the lens?
#blood
#elephant tail
there was something here, there's blood.
looks like banded mongoose
Topi in front, young topi or ? in back?
There is also a tuft of fur over it's back in frame 3 that doesn't appear to be from the same cheetah.
Or is it a shadow? Good spotting!
6?
I selected lion, female. But what would a lone female be doing by herself? Lion or??
Reedbuck? Grants?????
Young one?
Two large antelopes back-left, moving to the right are? Eland? Appear to be large antelopes with large horns.
Zebra rolling in the dirt/dust; dust bath?
how do we classify animals (?) such as these? I have come across a few photos similar to this one. Thanks!
what animals are on the ridge?
I selected zebra -thought I could see stripes with "play" vs hartebeest.
is this a young buffalo? seems to stocky to be a wildebeest.
thanks!
horns come out of head laterally and curve. which antelope is this? thanks
classifying: the one on the right has short horns, is it young or is it a female? How do we distinguish between females and young Tommies?
#elephants
thank you
thanks much.
who is this?
ok are these ostrich imitating trees or ostriches with their heads down?
white tailed mongoose.
IID'd this zebra as"young" given the brown stripes.
which antelope is this one?
what is this?
The way it is moving is bird-like, isn't it? As opposed to vegetation. But heaven knows I have been wrong before!
I think it is a butterfly, but the moderators will know. It doesn't look real though, does it?
Oh my! This is one of my favorite photos!
no idea.
Great! Fun isn't it?
I love that they are all facing in the same direction.
#impala. Interesting shot.
#porcupine
check frame 2
Animal with a wound?
What is brown-ish animal just a little left of center and to what animal does the black hairy bit belong?
Does the hartebeest on the right have an unusually wide horn?
what are these 2 animals? i am stumped.
yellow billed stork?
Wattled starling- I see by an earlier post. Thanks.
Black billed weaver?
help! is this a wildebeest and calf?
African fish eagle?
ooooh what a great shot! Caracal has my vote.
What eagles are these? Tawny?
Is this a sleeping jackal?
What bird is this?
WOW!
#helmeted-guinea-fowl I think.
Which animal is this? I selected dik dik. It didn't seem to fit any other animal.
I selected "fire" due to darkened foreground. Would that be correct?
Is that a wound near the zebra's nose?
could it be a wildcat?
#bird - #black-headed-heron
what is the small brown animal on the left side-in front of line of zebra?
Great shot! wildcat.
#selfie #wildcat
Is this Thompson's gazelle missing part of it's tail?
#lioncubs playing
think it is a lovely plump insect.
#guineafowl
Is this a duiker?
#wildebeest with #oxpecker-yellow-billed which is eating.
#leopard
#hartebeest on the move
#bat-eared-fox with sunrise or sunset. I don't know what time this was taken but interesting.
first frame when moving shows a bird(?) flying up from the ground in the middle left..
#giraffe the best photo ever!
great shot of bird in flight.
Great cheetah spots.
#Thompson's
Thanks.
#white-bellied bustard Great photo!
Which animal might this be? young male lion? or am I way off base?
white-bellied bustards?
Is this a bird??
#impala
warhog?
White tailed mongoose?
? buffalo elephants or wildebeest?
yippee skippee!
wildcat? looks like stripes on leg and thigh?
#zebra and gorgeous picture.
#baboon chasing bird! What bird is it?
#eland. Beautiful shot.
Oh you were talking about the birds! pays to read ALL the messages! still chuckling...
I thought they followed the rain and grasses and it rained all the time in Yorkshire!? LOL.
Do the four legs in back belong to same animal? Looks likethe 2 on left pointing in different direction from 2 on right.
#zebra #selfie
Is this a young male impala whose horns aren't fully grown?
Selected elephants - 3rd from R most like ellie. Correct?
I agree.
Thanks that's what makes sense.
help with foreground animals. by shadow on R when played it looks like there is a horn. or is it an ear. foreground animals zebras or??
Bird was one of my options but yikes it's a toughie isn't it?
Great!
Is it correct to count bodies not eyes even though some of eyes probable belong to same type of animals ie wildebeest?
I looked & looked & enlarged this a number of times and came close to Id'ing some animal. You are not alone!
Help! something at base of live tree on right between it and dead fallen tree.
I just like the photo.
Impala?
#lions
#butterfly
Warthog?
same issues as earlier post. What animal in front of tree in back R.
2nd tree on R, ? animal is resting in front? Selected wildebeest but wouldn't it be odd to just have 1? Or are others off frame? bird left.
full moon? and lions. it doesn't get any better! #lions
yes, that was the answer in an earlier post. Good question.
#selfie #zebra
Are those 2 zebra in the distance?
Hippo? Looks like some weird creature who escaped from the depths of the Indian Ocean?
#selfie I love this photo, looks like a wise old man. Or maybe I really do need more carrots.
#giraffe eating night shot
#giraffe
Duiker?
Wildebeest left horizon?
I selected serval, due to stripe on tail. What other options are there?
#caracal
#selfie #buffalo
mongoose on the mound? Termite mound? what is pleural of mongoose?
ohmygoodness! from a serval to hippo! I need some of those carrots written about earlier! Now I see, it is facing us with nose down.
#aardwolf
Help! I called this a serval, but it was a guess.
Another challenging one. Is this a bird? I thought it might be a hyena, but their ears aren't furry on edges.
I selected "young..." but the giraffe just might be far enough back with head at an angle that makes it look like a youngster.
dang, I saw the birds and forgot to add them! Thanks.
Is brown rounded thing in left foreground an animal?
Yippeeeee! Thanks.
Behind, or in the bush, something is moving. Unable to ID.
warthog?
who is the animal far right, rolling, behind the bush? And is the one in far left a grant's or hartebeest? or something else?? Thanks!
thanks tillydad.
#lion - female. #cubs
I selected: duiker. The rump doesn't fit the usual Grant's or impala. Which one is this? Thanks.
Are you asking about moving animal in the tree on the left or the small animal moving R to L in the background?
not sure if a vehicle or animal moving - back right.
#white tailed mongoose? Hate to ask such an obvious question but need to check. Thanks.
Wildebeest tail?
Yippee! I selected lion!
which animal is moving L to R pale in color and small?
perfect Grants' posteriors
Help! What animal is this????
Selected 6 wildebeest. Counted obvious shapes. can we assume reflected eyes are wildebeests and count them also? Or since we aren't sure..
What is the grey blob on the right in the back?
Is this a spurfowl?
Hartebeest?
balloon! I see a later posting with more balloon in the frame!
#reedbuck showing the forward curving horns. Nice photo.
Serval?
Guessed wildebeest as teh dark bumps on horizon. Thoughts?
2 zebra on right? guessed at 2impala "resting near tallest tree. Suggestions?
Interesting giraffe photo.
whose ear is this? Is it an ear?
cheetah, hyena, leopard? something else???
on R near horizon, animal same color as grass moving to R. I selected hartebeast due to profile. Thoughts?
Grant"s with young? Impala? Other?
what is this one?????
Is that an animal next to the tree? If so, which one? Thanks.
I think they are ground hornbills.
looks like Walt Disney animatronic. Great!
what's causing the dark area upper right.
porcupine lower left? not the bright blob of the plan,t but up and to left of it.
buffalo?
warthog on right? Hartebeest to left of him/her? zebra in background? thanks for your help.
#guinea fowl. Great shot of jumping with wings outspread.
mongoose?
the young zebras have brown instead of black stripes. will change later.
what in heaven's name...?
#zebra deformed Left rear leg
#zebra dust bathing
Selected bag eared fox. Is this correct? Large ears and bushy tails I thought.
Made me laugh too!
given the black spot under ear, is this a reedbuck?
far right under bent branch, is that a cub? Or do I have wishful thinking? viewed after blowing up image.
darn, I selected buffalo and this is a hippo isn't it?
I'm gonna weigh in too. I also see the 3-4 moving objects to right and in front of mound shaped area with grass on it.
enlarged I see at least ;7 but enlarged on my computer the stripes do not show up at all on the one in foreground.
called an oxpecker they eat the ticks on animals.
moving seen dead center where dark grass becomes lighter to left of small tree. too far-blurry to ID.
Left horizon, vehicle vs animal vs other? thoughts?
selected human for square shaped blob (car?) mid-left horizon. Too regular in shape for kopje?
Did not see any shapes, even vague ones. What would cause the seemingly large bright area on left?
in background space on R-dot that changes shape when magnified and played. Solitary animal or tree? selected zebra for lack of better info.
Thanks Tillydad! Interesting!
what an absolutely fantastic shot!
zebra with dust bath causing brown tint on part of body? Too big for "young" zebra? I did not select young present. Thoughts?
young wildebeest? lion? who is this???? thanks!
fire or atmosphere?
baboon??
lion?
#ostrich
guess is zebra but could be wildebeest tail or other?
lion? or?
Thanks tillydad! all info is helpful!
Per the animal size chart & height of camera at 1 meter with animal just in front of lens = lens at knee of adult. thoughts?
Thank you!
selected "young present" given height of elephant body in relation to meter high camera. Correct?
great observation on the two tails!
selected young giraffe - thin, long leg. thinking not chunky enough for other ungulate. Suggestions? Ideas?
Or young wildebeest that just went through mud?
They might be wildebeest. enlarged, it's a bit easier to see and the one nearest center looks like one. what do you think?
I selected "young present" but am not sure if the one lying down is a young one.
animal close to meter high camera, one of the hoofed ones giving birth? I am stumped! what's wet, brown, hairy with a light colored ear?
i think the camera is ok, it looks like the 2 are interacting.
lovely.
grant's or impala??
#warthogs
zebra or wildebeest?
#bird, beautiful
#zebra running. spooked.
Awesome!
Is this a human? Can't think what animal it could be at all.
wow that's a mystery. wildebeest is a good guess
it might be a warthog. check out the profile in the pix on the selection page. the white might be light reflecting off tusk. pretty cool.
Isn't it gorgeous? It is a topi.
Wildebeest I believe.
I selected giraffe due to slope of the back. but...
the back of a vehicle perhaps.
are these hippos? thanks.
Any suggestions?
Ooohhhhh, now I see! Thanks.
Warthog running? Behind dead tree on left.
#impala. Good shot of black tip on ears.
Lazy, lounging, lions lying around.
The head, or what I think us the head, is so rounded. I don't see any horns, and looks like a short animal. Do wildebeest eat lying down?
#fire, old.
#wildebeest, lots!
Night much to go on!
#oxpecker and zebra.
I stared and stared and finally saw spots that suggest leopard. Looks like it's left front leg sticking out to right, with head down. Ideas?
Ok, who is the one in the foreground? I selected grant's since it is near the Tommies and doesn't have the black stripe. Thanks for feedback
Not sure!
Selected hyena due to furriness and spotty looking but not sure.
Wildebeest I believe, given the sloping back and the color.
Really odd looking. Log imitating an animal? I see the markings that you found.
I selected "buffalo" because they are blobs as opposed to a different shape-wildebeest. Elephants? Also blobs from far away. Suggestions?
I'm guessing an impala. But it is only a guess.
I think they might be hartebeest, the head on shot shows the distinctive horns. The partial body is similar color.
Yes, I think it is a warthog.
One obvious zebra, so I selected "1", but some of the eyes are probably more.
Looks like ears, don't they? Good spotting
Selected "hippo", it's probably my imagination but I thought I could see a leg that looked like a hippos!
I selected "zebra"for lack of any information. Lovely superb starling, though!
Elephants x2? Whose eye is it?
I think you are right.
Hi, with enlarging it's easier to see the blue of the guinea fowl trying to imitate a warthog...
I agree with you. Warthogs.
Gorgeous!
Smoke, dust or other effect?
Under tree, upper left. Unable to make accurate count.
I vote for wildebeest given the color and I don't think it's a buffalo, the rear isn't stocky enough. Perhaps.
Hippos? Or slouching hyenas?
What are the two young in the left foreground? I think they are wildebeest, but photos of young ones don't have such dark, big shags...
Not sure who the antelope are either, but I don't think they are topi, as there doesn't seem to be the black marking on the thigh.
Looks like 3 zebras, one is behind the bush on the left.
I accidentally selected zebra twice. Only one present. Didn't know how to eliminate the choice after saving it.
Possible wildebeest in distance.
Pure guess of - buffalo.
Possible grant's in background?
Ok, I looked at Charles Foley's field guide and the category drop down lists and still am not sure what this is.
When it is enlarged it appears to be a wildebeest. Looks like the dark face of one and possibly the thick neck .
Lots of smoke.
When are "young" Thomsons no longer considered "young"? Until the horns begin growing?
Wildebeest, 1 or 2?
Need help with this one. Thanks!
Thank you, I thought so!
Whose tail is in the lower left corner? Thanks.
Is there a way to go back and relabel?
#cattle
Need help! Thanks
Any suggestions? Not much to go on for me.
#need help! too dark

selected "young present" given height of elephant body in relation to meter high camera. Correct?
great observation on the two tails!
selected young giraffe - thin, long leg. thinking not chunky enough for other ungulate.
I selected giraffe due to slope of the back. but...
#butterfly
the back of a vehicle perhaps.
are these hippos?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Thank you.
Thank you, I thought so!
Whose tail is in the lower left corner? Thanks.
Is there a way to go back and relabel?
Thanks!
#cattle
Need help! Thanks
Any suggestions? Not much to go on for me.
Thanks!
#need help! too dark
