Snapshot Serengeti Talk
I thought it was a jackal, and psychedelic at that, because the ears are pointed - but bow to the Moderator's better knowledge
Just to note it's the Utafiti Wa Simba Lion Research Serengeti Project vehicle!
Pure guesswork in the hope that one of you instantly recognises the curve of a ..........
Female? pregnant? I'd no idea their tails were "built" like that. Obviously you've got very silent cameras!
Either it's slinking past a row of cars/jeeps or there's a row of interested something or others in the background!
I think this is its "undercarriage"
It's a something! no idea what - go up from the 'r' in Captured (above this) just over half-way up.
what is this brown & beautiful (bird) with russet brown & vivid royal & aquamarine blue - I put bird because you can't put "I've no idea"
It's a white-out!
No idea - wish I could click in a photo program even "Auto Correct", but I expect you can, I just couldn't click Nothing here! hence lions.
dark shape - wildebeest again
sky picture
saying bird because of the nest which looks new
using "human" as someone put the notice there & presumably he/she stood!
there's obviously something!. Decided wildebeest because it's large & dark but it's so close to the camera it cd easily be another animal.
Not my computer and can't enlarge the photo - so there may very well be more than 1 giraffe there.
Another (or the same one?) knocked camera
Am not at home am staying where the computer doesn't have Ctrl+ enlargement so don't know if the blobs on the horizon are trees or animals
something was here and must have been blinded by the flash
camera has tipped to one side
oh boy!!!!! did the camera survive? WHAT a look...
I do hope the experts agree! It's my first cheetah
Looks more like a hyena now that I have had a look at 40 odd hyena in the tag group on this page.
I'm afraid this is a when in doubt try wildebeest -
Pure guess but it looks hairy and but I am very open to correction!
Decided it was a wildebeest tail -
I think that's a road with vehicles except they are still so maybe tourist landrovers? or maybe just boring old trees.
would have said another zebra (see the shadow on the left) but I can't PROVE it's a zebra!
Not at all sure - what on earth is that on its head? (click on 2 and 3)
Willing to be told I'm wrong! but what are those 3 prone animals? - look between the 1st two trees on the lhs and half way up the photo
Wild guess at being a lioness - but can't bring myself to type any sort of deer
Sorry chaps this time it's the eyelashes & tail swish. It seems wildebeestian & as there';s no "I haven't a clue" to click on .......
Decided zebra more by shape than anything else! First fuzzy photo from normally excellent cameras.
Please could we have more rump photos! I've been backwards & forwards with the 2 gazelles & the impala, sincerely hope this is an impala
I LOVE this photograph - look at that beautiful "plaited"(!) tail. I'd like a copy of this - confess I tried a copy/paste but no luck
clicked nothing but am wondering if that's an ear to the bottom right
Ready to admit that couldn't be bothered to go through all the deers etc. to find a dark leg. So Giraffe standing
Zebra I said - guess work! only thing is the white strips are shiny! prob the night camera (9.39:22 p.m.)Note: usually only 1 shot at night
I don't think I've ever had so many empty landscapes, green plants or waving grasses - I'm off for a cup of tea.
pure guess absolutely no idea
2 very different species with only the ability to register one. For some thought when revising your site
3 eyes spaced out, 1on rt with lots of magnification looks small & low &as there are 3 wondered if jackals but don't knpw of nightly moves
Must get to bed - What is the head showing over nearest zebra? Is there a click for I see an antelope/deer head & horns but what is it?
