  I find these that catch the flash are hard to ID at times. Could this be a #genet or a jackal? Please help me ID

  The black is the muzzle & not the nose itself? The ID pic makes it look so elongated, but I see ones on web that don't always look so long.

  Proportions of face - big ears well separated - eyes close to nose - peak on head - black 'collar' stripe - all these fit aardwolf.
